Today we had another interview for the documentary. Today we were with Anthony Beverly who does the Stop the Violence Initiative here in Indianapolis. I was really excited about this interview since we had been trying to get in touch with Anthony for several weeks. I felt like his story, his experience and his words of wisdom would be a great blessing to the documentary and the message as a whole. Today I didn’t focus to much on sticking to the questions but tried to listen and piggy back off of what he was passionately talking about. I’m learning that as an interviewer it’s important to balance listening and guiding the conversation. I’m finding that I really enjoy this aspect of the documentary process. I’m also really pleased with how our little studio is working out! It’s very convenient for set up technically and I think it makes the interviewee more comfortable as well. I think we have 2-3 more interviews left to go!
Thanks for a great interview!
